This episode is different than our regular conversational interview type format, and is instead a lecture David did at KAC on October 26, 2022 on, “How Technology Will Destroy Your Soul (and other understatements)”. The lecture explores the idea that perhaps technology is not as neutral as we think it is. Sometimes we uncritically adopt technology without thinking about how it affects our lives and our faith. David takes us deeper to think critically about how your phone, and the screens, and the technology, and all of these good things, may affect the way we think, live, and love.
Dr. David T. Wood serves as Senior Associate Pastor at Coquitlam Alliance Church in Coquitlam, BC, Canada, and also serves as Adjunct Professor at Pacific Life Bible College in Surrey, BC and Instructor at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC. He has pastored since 2000 in the area of Spiritual Formation and Christian Education and teaches in the Vancouver Lower Mainland.
David lives in Coquitlam, BC, with his wife, Karen and three young adult children.
